Who? little ole’ me?
Well… how do I put this lightly? Ya know the crazy lady in the grocery store that just can’t help but stare lovingly at your baby while making silly faces ALL THE WAY down aisle 4? And, then again in the frozen section? Yup. That’s me in a nutshell. I always have been, and always will be, unequivocally obsessed with children.
As a child, my mother labeled me the “neighborhood gypsy”. If you were a stay at home mom on my street with a little one, it was known that I would knock on your door ready to relieve you of your daily duties. SAHM’s would happily welcome me into their General Hospital watching world and let me take the reigns for a bit. As the years passed, it was only natural that I’d end up becoming not only an amazing babysitter, but eventually a pretty extraordinary elementary teacher too!
In 2010, I purchased my first DSLR camera and decided I wouldn’t miss ONE. SINGLE. MOMENT. of my first born’s life. My self-taught obsession quickly became a passion that eventually evolved into a side gig. After two years of being a weekend warrior, I gave birth to my second daughter and I officially traded in my chalkboard for a camera full-time, and started my journey down entrepreneur lane.
As a mom, I know what it feels like to desperately want to freeze time. A chance to just hit the pause button on those ever so fleeting moments. Never wanting to forget their gummy smiles. Their soft pore-less skin. Their perfectly placed freckles. And their curly long lashes. The strong desire to bottle up a moment in time, forever.
As a family photographer, I look forward to encapsulating those exact moments for you.
But, if not…I guess I’ll just see you in the grocery store.
